Overcoming Emotional Overeating

  Are you a compulsive overeater? Do you eat if you are happy, sad or, to deal with emotional distress? Do you avoid looking in the mirror? Are you unhappy with you body image? Do you obsess about food?

  If you answered yes to any of these questions then this group is for you.

  Overcoming emotional overeating is a psycho-educational group for people who are experiencing problems with weight, eating and body image. We use a non-dieting approach to weight loss and focus on self-esteem, self-confidence and self-acceptance.

The Initial Group meets 1x/week for 12 weeks Mondays 7:00-9:00pm

The Maintenance Group meets once a week for on going support.

Cost:  30 dollars per group (Maybe covered by EAP)

Topics Include: awareness of emotional trigger, acceptance of body image, weight preoccupation, recognizing our set point weight, eating related to stomach hunger, food, control, and stabilization. Learn coping strategies to deal with negative obsessive thoughts and engaging in a healthy active life style.
